yles and Sharon Pianko of
Commerce are delighted to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Heather Lorraine to Paul
Alan Bershas, son of James and Elizabeth
Bershas of West Bloomfield.
Heather studied comparative religion at
Western Michigan University and is attend-
ing Eastern Michigan University, pursuing a
degree in elementary education. She is also
a member of the Temple Israel Religious
School and Early Childhood Center teaching
staff in West Bloomfield .
Paul earned a bachelor of arts in soci-
ology and a bachelor of arts in secondary education from the University of
Michigan. He is an assistant director at the Princeton Review in Ann Arbor.
An October wedding is planned in White Lake.

Mann-Stocker

argo and Michael Stocker of
Farmington Hills are thrilled to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Julie Suzanne to Eric Martin,
son of Marge and Fred Mann of Huntington
Woods.
Julie and Eric are both graduates of
Eastern Michigan University's College
of Education. Julie is an art teacher at
Oakwood Middle School in the East Detroit
(Eastpointe) Schools. Eric teaches third
grade at Voyaguer Academy in Detroit.
After the July wedding, which took place
at the Roostertail in Detroit, Julie and Eric reside in Oak Park.
