Linda Mendelson and Donald

have their paintings on display in the
Michigan Water Color Society 60th
Exhibition on view in the Community
Arts Gallery of Wayne State University,
Detroit. Linda's and Stanley's paint-
ings received top awards juried by
internationally renowned artist Gladys
Nilsson. All three artists' works were
selected to be included in the Travel
Exhibit, which will be on view at vari-
ous venues through November.
Three Michigan State University stu-
dent leaders were chosen to partici-
pate in a June 3-12 pilot educational
seminar in Israel. The three were
juniors Jamie Share of Farmington
Hills, Payal Ravani of Rochester Hills
and Eric Hinojosa of Saginaw.
Aaron Levett of West Bloomfield and
Miami, Fla., has been named one of
only two winners in a concerto com-
petition at Interlochen Arts Camp.
Levett's winning piece was Concerto in
G minor by Antonio Vivaldi. Levett is a
fifth-grader at Birmingham-Covington
Elementary School.
