A builder, he owned Carmen Homes, but previ- ously he had several other companies. Friedman Primarily a residen- tial builder, he was in the building business for 60 years. Mr. Friedman was a graduate of Detroit Institute of Technology. He became a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and was very active with the Shriner's Circus. He was also a past president of Congregation Beth Achim, a member of Michigan Builders Association and received awards for his outstanding accomplishments. Mr. Friedman is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Larry Cohen of West Bloomfield, Joyce and David Steinberg of Farmington Hills; daughter-in-law, Janet Friedman; grandchildren, Marci Friedman, Sara Friedman, Stephanie Steinberg and Lindsay Steinberg; brother and sister- in-law, Ray and Lorraine Friedman; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Bernard Berman. He was the beloved husband of the late Pearl Friedman; the devoted father of the late Eliot Ira Friedman; cherished brother of the late Leah Friedman. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
