Jim Hiller Rick Halberg

RUTH BENJAMIN, 93, of Southfield,
died June 17, 2007.
Mrs. Benjamin was an assistant for
an oral surgeon for many years. She
was a past member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue, its sisterhood and served
on many synagogue committees.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Susan and David Guip of
Lambertville, Mich.; grandchildren,
Jonathan and Shawna Guip, Rachael
and James Sautter; sisters, Belle Linton
of Scottsdale, Ariz., Molly Center of
Windsor, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Rhoda
Rosenthal and Carol Rose; many loving
and devoted nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Benjamin was the beloved wife
of the late Charles Benjamin; the loving
mother of the late Larry Benjamin; dear
grandmother of the late Jennifer Guip.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to
the Ruth Benjamin Memorial Book
Fund at Beaumont Hospice, 1200
Stephenson Hwy, Troy, MI 48083 or a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

West Bloomfield, died June 2, 2007.
He was a longtime lumber sales-
man with National Lumber Co., an
avid sailor and a member of the Great

Lakes Yacht Club.
Mr. Brown is survived by his lov-
ing wife of 22 years, Denny; children,
Susan Hollander (Elliot), Julie Haworth
(Clyde), Carol White (Brad), Denny's
daughter, Ricki Zitner (Aaron); son-
in-law, Tom Schwartz; grandchildren,
Jacob, Kate, Emily, Nick, Abby, Aron,
Hannah, Emily and Nathaniel; brother-
in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Nelson
and Maydee Lande; many adoring
nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the father of the late
Elizabeth Schwartz; brother of the late
Agnes Scott (the late Julian).

COHEN, 57, of
Bowling Green, Ohio,
died June 16, 2007.
A speech pathologist
for more than 30
years, she received
her master's in
speech pathology
from the University

of Nebraska.
Mrs. Cohen was a docent at the
Toledo Museum of Art, an antique
dealer, an art enthusiast and a caring
gardener.
She is survived by daughters and a
son-in-law, Caitlin Klein and Joseph
Malcoun of Ann Arbor, Julia Klein of
Chicago; parents, Dr. Lewis and Betty
Cohen of Huntington Woods; also sur-
vived by Dr. Lawrence R. Klein.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
