The aim is to link U-M students with Ann Arbor residents in at-risk emotional or social situations, includ- ing foster children and the elderly in hospice care. Each student corre- sponds with the paired partner weekly or bi-weekly via letters and personal visits. WeCARe occasionally sponsors social events — including laser tag, arcades and go-carting — for those able to participate. WeCARe plans to add at least 50 more at-risk Ann Arbor residents in the fall.
