"Our obligation is to pursue seminal research in preventing and treating heart disease and offer compassionate care at the bound- aries of contemporary medicine said Dr. Jim Stanley, one of the new center's four directors. Two Jewish doctors, Dr. David Pinsky, chief of adult cardiovascular medicine and Dr. Richard Prager, chief of adult cardiac surgery, will also serve as directors. Several prominent Jewish donors contributed to the project. "We may never completely defeat cardiovascular disease, but we're going to fight the good fight:' Dr. Gupta said.
