He was a real estate developer and builder of residential and com- mercial properties with Robinson Brothers Inc. Robinson for over 40 years. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife Estelle Robinson of Bloomfield Hills; children, Steven Robinson and his fiancee, Jill Lindsay of Beverly Hills, Calif., Kenneth and Patricia Robinson of Bloomfield Hills, Laura and Brian Tauber of San Diego, Calif.; Estelle's children, Scott Cantor and Kenneth Cantor; grandchildren, Alexa, Tara, Spencer and Brett Robinson, Bradley, Lou and Leah Tauber, Elyse, Blake, Teddi, Spencer and Zachary Cantor; also sur- vived by Lori Cantor, Stacy Robinson, Jill Robinson and Shirley Robinson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Seymour Ross of Farmington Hills; sister, Elaine Medwed; grandchildren, Julie (Howard Oppenheimer) Ross, Dr. Sanford (Sara) Ross; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Jackson and Andrew Ross, Leah and Sari Oppenheimer; special friend, Pearl Blair; sister-in-law, Davida Gale; many other loving family members and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille Shiffman and the late Hannah Shiffman; brother of the late Ralph, the late Nathan, the late Harold and the late Victor Shiffman; brother-in-law of the late Joe Medwed and the late Jack Gale. A distinguished Life Fellow of American Psychiatric Association and a board member of Michigan Association of Children With Emotional Disorders, Dr. Weiss made America's top psychiatrist list of 2002-03 and 2003-04 and was listed as one of Michigan best doctors for 1998 and 1999. Dr. Weiss was a member of the board of directors of Fresh Air Society 1975-1990 and a member of the Oak Park Board of Education from 1960-1964. He received a bachelor of science degree from University of Michigan in 1947 and a doctor of medicine degree from U-M School of Medicine in 1951. He was a member of the Michigan Psychiatric Society and was the train- ing director of the Residential Training Program at Wayne State School of Medicine for the faculty. He was also an integral part of the Child and Adolescent Training Program at Hawthorne Center and a Life fellow of American Academy of Child Psychiatrists. Dr. Weiss is survived by his wife, Fae Kaufman Weiss of Bloomfield Hills; chil- dren, Leonard Weiss of Atlanta, Judith and Arnold Reyes of Austin, Texas, John and Sarah Weiss of Ypsilanti; grandchildren, Anna and Paulina Reyes, Myles, Nya and Jerzy Weiss; brother, Harold Weiss of Bloomfield Hills. Dr. Weiss was the beloved son of the late Pearl and the late Joseph Weiss; brother of the late Rubin "Rube" Weiss. Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial Park.
