History Award To Be Given The Jewish Historical Society of Michigan will honor Sharon Alterman with the 2007 Leonard N. Simons History Award June 3. Alterman, director of the Leonard N. Simons Jewish Community Archive since its founding in 1991, has helped bring many events and historical exhibits to Michigan Jews. The annual meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 3, at Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt, Farmington Hills. The speaker will be Paul Ganson, historian of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Bonds To Honor Doctors Drs. Barry Feldman and Sanford Vieder will receive the 2007 Maimonides Award from the Metro Detroit Professional Health Services Division of State of Israel Bonds.
