Vets To Honor Jewish Fallen

The Department of Michigan Jewish War Veterans of the USA
and Ladies Auxiliary will be joined by Canadian and Russian
Jewish war veterans for an international Memorial Day ser-
vice 10 a.m. Sunday, May 27, at Machpelah Cemetery, 21103
Woodward, Ferndale.
A second service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Hebrew
Memorial Cemetery, 21503 E.14 Mile at Gratiot, Clinton
Township.
JWV chaplain Rabbi Herbert Yoskowitz of Adat Shalom
Synagogue in Farmington Hills will officiate. Taps will be
sounded by Ferndale High School students and Ben Duchan.
The event will be under the direction of State Commander
Jerry Order and State President Myra Gross with Izzy Sigal
heading up the Canadian contingent. The Russian veterans
are commanded by Anatoly Granovesky. Also included will be
Venturing Crew 18 with Allen Olender, adviser.
Services are open to the public. In case of rain, they will
move indoors.
