year-old twin girls.
"It was wonderful; it was really heart-
warming," Burns says. "Everything they
said was so positive and unexpected."
Bass wrote a three-page letter to her
sister expressing her pride, and tell-
ing Burns how inspired she was by her
courage and determination to open her
own store. Other guests at the party also
shared their thoughts and filled out cards
with personal messages.
"It was amazing. It was so much more
than I'd even anticipated," Bass says. "It
turned into this incredible, emotional,
spiritual event. Every person walked out
of there with a little more love in their
heart. I can't think of a better way to
honor someone." ❑
