did a poem. My mom was laughing and
crying the whole time — she kept saying
it was one of the best days of her life."

SISTERLY LOVE

During a March 26 cocktail and des-
sert party held at Syd & Samz in Royal
Oak, the children's clothing store Burns
owns, the group — including the sisters'
husbands and father, Elliot Rott of Oak
Park — sat around a table lined with
flowers and candles, enjoying martinis
and sweet treats while they shared warm
sentiments about Burns, a mother of 10-
