Born in Toledo, Ohio, he relocated with his family relocated to Detroit. He attended Wayne State University and met Harriet Lewis. They mar- ried in 1951. After a year in Hampton, Va., where he played French horn in the Air Force Band, they moved to Houston, where he pursued his career in engineering, eventually becom- ing vice president of sales for Ruska Instruments. Mr. Moser held degrees in engineering and music.
