Ann Arbor

D

r. Melvin Reinhart of Ann
Arbor, who both practiced
and taught psychiatric medi-
cine, died April 16, 2007. He was 77.
Dr. Reinhart was born in Detroit on
Dec. 2,1929, to William and Augusta
Reinhart. He graduated from the
University of Michigan College of
Literature, Science and the Arts in 1951
and the University of Michigan Medical
School in 1955.
Dr. Reinhart served as a captain in
the Navy from 1958-1961. He married
Malverne Gleiber, whom he met while
attending U-M. They loved Ann Arbor
and all it had to offer. After his medical
training, he and Malverne decided to
make Ann Arbor their home. He had a

Mrs. Abel is survived by beloved hus-

and son-in-law, Gail and Michael Rapport
of Austin, Texas; sister, Beatrice Kape of
Southfield; grandchildren, Jessica Abel,
Rebekah Abel, Tolya Rapport and Irina
Rapport; many other loving family mem-
bers and friends.
She was the dear sister of the late Ruth
Seligman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

ELENA GLASIER, 88, of Southfield,
died April 17, 2007. She was a Hebrew
teacher for over 45 years at Temple Israel,
Temple Shir Shalom and Temple Beth El.
She was also a roller skating teacher,
having been a professional roller skater
with a group called the Vanities and
with her sister as Flying Wirlos. She was
in the movie Pin-Up Girl with Betty
Grable. A volunteer roller skating teacher
with the Jewish Community Center, she
had also been active with Jewish Youth
Educational League.
Mrs. Glasier is survived by her son,
Albert Glasier of Southfield.
She was the beloved wife of the late

JUDITH GORDON, 71, of Southfield,
died April 21, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Michelle Gordon of Mayfield
Heights, Ohio, Pamela and Michael
Sherman of Farmington Hills; sister
and brother-in-law, Beverly and Rabbi
William Lebeau of New York City; brother
and sister-in-law, Michael and Vivian
Aronson of Indianapolis, Ind.; grand-
children, Jason Sherman, Eric Sherman;
many nieces and nephews, great-nieces
and great-nephews. She was the beloved
wife of the late Harry Gordon.
