FERN ONICKEL, 73,
of Southfield, died April
10, 2007. Prior to retire-
ment eight years ago, she
was a sixth-grade teacher
at Warner Middle School.
She was also a member of
Temple Emanu-El, their
Onickel
Religious Committee vice
president, founder of the
Caring Community, on
the temple's board of trustees and a volun-
teer at Danto.
Mrs. Onickel is survived by her husband,
Sheldon Onickel; sons and daughter-in-
law, Harry and Kelly Onickel of Ferndale,
Alan Onickel of New York; daughters and
son-in-law, Irene and Jim Petts of Ferndale,
Roslyn Onickel of Illinois; grandchildren,
Kein and Sierra Onickel and Henry Petts;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Miriam Stillwell
of West Bloomfield, Rita and Dan Marquis
of Clarkston, Harriet and Marvin Atlas
of Southfield; sister-in-law, Ann "Honey"
Onickel; nieces and nephews. She was the
dear sister-in-law of the late Irving Onickel.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

ESTHER ROBBINS, 96, of Oak Park,
died April 8, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon
Morand of Sterling Heights, Sandra Rubin of
Warren, Roslyn Parpart of Oak Park; brother
and sister-in-law, Albert and Rachel Malen
of California; grandchildren, Randi Tinglan,
Dawn and Rick Dupon, Becky Parpart,
Kevin Rubin; three great-grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Robert Robbins.

LILLIAN SILVERMAN, 84, of Southfield,
died April 10, 2007.
She is survived her daughter and son-in-
law, Barbara and Martin Gordon-Scharf of
Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Lindsay
Gordon, Katie Gordon, Bradley Gordon,
Rachel (Todd) Gold, Brandon Lederer
and Bene Lederer; brother-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Allan and Mary Silverman,
Barbara Ginsburg, Irene Silverman, Marion
Silverman; many cousins, nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Sidney Silverman; mother of the late Marcy
Lederer and the late Lee Silverman; sister
of the late Saul Ginsburg and the late Ida
Rosenberg.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

LEONARD SOLOMON, 84, of Troy, died
April 13, 2007. He was the retired owner of
Leonard Fastener's Inc., an industrial fas-
teners business. Mr. Solomon was a World
War II veteran and served in the European
Theater.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ila
R. Solomon of Troy; daughter, Lisa Solomon
of Rochester Hills.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
