Company, a wholesale and tobacco
company. He graduated from the
University of Michigan in 1935.
Mr. Harvith was an 32nd degree
Mason, a member of the Shriners,
Congregation Shaarey Zedek and its
men's club as well as a veteran of
World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 69
years, Rosella Harvith of Waterloo;
daughter and son-in-law, Sharee and
Thomas Fahidy of Waterloo; son
and daughter-in-law, John Harvith
and Susan Edwards Harvith of
Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Erwin and Sylvia Harvith
of East Lansing.
Mr. Harvith was the beloved son
of the late Hannah and the late Jacob
Harvith.
Interment at Oakview Cemetery.

HILDA KOMER, 88, of North
Miami Beach, Fla„ formerly of
Michigan, died April 10, 2007.
She was a founder of Congregation
Beth Shalom and an active member
of its sisterhood. She was also an
active member and volunteer at the
South Beach Museum in Florida, the
condo association in Florida, the PTA
and library in Oak Park.
Mrs. Komer is survived by her
daughter, Dena Komer of Boca
Raton; grandchildren, Joscelyn,
Danielle and Rachel; great-grand-
children, Chelsea, Noah, Jacob,
Connor and Paige.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Albert Komer; devoted mother of
the late Simon Komer; cherished sis-
ter of the late Charles Behrmann.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

SHERWIN "FRENCHY"
LABELL, 50, of Oak Park, died April
9, 2007. A technician for General
Motors, Mr. LaBell was also a 32nd
degree Mason, a member of the
Shriners as well as the police auxilia-
ry with Oak Park and Southgate and
Elizabeth, N.J. In addition, he was a
member of UAW local 22.
Mr. LaBell is survived by his wife,
Cecille LaBell of Oak Park; daugh-
ters, Ileen LaBell and Melissa LaBell;
parents, Shirley and Harold Labell of
Newport Richey, Fla.; sister, Susan
Levine of Houston, Texas; brother,
Paul LaBell of Waldwick, N.J.
