Strutting their stuff seemed to come
naturally to about 60 members
of Michigan Region BBYO. For
"Fashion Unleashed," local "models"
commanded the catwalk in casual,
dressy and sporty looks from the
Shirt Box, Annie Sez, Moosejaw
ROBIN SCHWARTZ,
and
more. The annual fundraiser, of
COLUMNIST
which Platinum was a sponsor, for the
West Bloomfield-based B'nai B'rith Youth Organization
was held March 10 at Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield.
Last year, the event brought in more than $13,000.
"The kids had a blast with it," said Kathy Tobin, of
Orchard Lake, who helped coordinate the fashions. "The
guys really hammed it up; the girls were so cute."
American Idol contestant Kevin "Chicken Little"
Covais made a special appearance, performing for the
crowd of more than 300 people. ❑
