Detroit's coolest Purim celebration — where
a club vibe and carnival atmosphere helped
put a modern spin on the most festive of
Jewish holidays. Fortune tellers and mas-
sage therapists were also on hand for
"Club Shushan" – the second annual bash
ROBIN SCHWARTZ,
at the Palace of Auburn Hills, sponsored
COLUMNIST
jointly by the Imagine group of Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield and the young adults of Oakland County-based
Congregation Shaarey Zedek; Platinum magazine was one of 10
corporate sponsors.
"I love reconnecting with old friends and making new ones," said
partygoer Michele Sushin of West Bloomfield. "Purim is the best
holiday; it's the most fun."
More than 500 singles and couples in their 20s, 30s and 40s
came together to dine, dance and mingle at the March 10 Purim at
the Palace event, held at the Ersa Club inside the Palace. ❑
