Dear
Bar, e been
under a lot of
stress and my
unhealthy eat-
ing habits re-
flect that. I'm looking for a cleans-
ing "fresh start." Can you offer any
suggestions? Thanks, Bobbie.
A
nswer: Dear Bobbie, There
are many "purifying" ac-
tions one can take that can
lead to a rejuvenation of your body,
mind and spirit.
As a first step, I would recommend
that you examine your current
circumstances with an eye towards
self-evaluation and making what-
ever real, long-term commitments
are necessary to improve your diet
and emotional and physical health.
Here are some general, but I think
valuable suggestions:
4_ • Adopt a more natural, im-
mune-system-friendly diet:
one rich in antioxidants
(e.g., fruits, vegetables,
seeds, grains, beans, fresh
herbs, spices and teas);
• Do your best to elimi-
nate toxins and pollut-
ants in your controllable
environment, e.g., use
"green," eco-friendly
products;
• Eliminate the "toxic" rela-
tionships in your life and work at
improving your other important
relationships, e.g., forgive those
who may have wronged you;
• Seek professional help where
appropriate;
• Enjoy life to its fullest—begin
now.
