H. Moiseev of Huntington
Woods, a freshman majoring in
mechanical engineering at the
University of Rochester in New York,
has been named to the Dean's List
for academic achievement for the fall
2006 semester. He is the son of Marla
and Andrew Moiseev and a graduate
of Berkley High School.

Four U-M scholars are among a group
chosen to participate in the Frankel
Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies.
They are Sara Blair, associate profes-
sor of English and American culture;
Deborah Dash Moore, Frederick
G.L. Huetwell Professor of History
and Judaic Studies; Shachar Pinsker,
assistant professor of Hebrew and
Jewish cultural studies; Julian
Levinson, Samuel Shetzer, associate
professor of American Jewish studies.

12 percent of
Nagel
marketing students
in Michigan. They
were required to take a marketing
occupational test, present a role-play in
their chosen occupational area and/or
defend their research projects. Among
the winners was Sarah Nagel, who
will go on to compete in Orlando, Fla.

Michael Crawford,
son of Jeff and Libby
(Vander) Crawford
of Novi, has been
accepted into the
Michigan State
University master's
program. He will

study toward a
master's of science
in kinesiology with a concentration
in psychosocial aspects of sport and
physical activity. Crawford is a gradu-
ate of Novi High School (2002) and
the University of Michigan (2006).

Carley Sirlin is attending spring
semester at Ben-Gurion University
in Beersheva, Israel, where she was
awarded the MASA Scholarship. Sirlin
is a junior at Michigan State, and a
linguistics major. She is the daughter
of Valeri Sirlin and Keith Sirlin.
