She is the daughter of Cynthia Brody
and Robert Starkman and the sister
of Charlie. Meredith's proud grandpar-
ents are Susan and David Brody and
Betty Starkman. She is also the grand-
daughter and namesake of the late Dr.
Morris Starkman.
Meredith attends Berkshire Middle
School in Beverly Hills. Her mitzvah
projects included donating her hair to

hona and Robert Fidler of
West Bloomfield are pleased to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Dayna Hillary to Raphael
Judah Wald, son of Carole Wald of Newton,
Mass.
Dayna graduated from List College,
where she earned a bachelor of arts
in English literature from Columbia
University and a bachelor of arts in Bible
studies from the Jewish Theological
Seminary, in New York. In May, Dayna will
complete her master's in Jewish education
from the William Davidson Graduate School at JTS.
Raphael earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Yeshiva University
in New York and is working toward his doctorate in clinical psychology at the
University of Hartford.
A July wedding is planned.
