Koliel Torah MiTzion
An evening of spirituality, stories of
miracles and mysticism is planned
for the Kollel Torah MiTzion winter
event 6 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at
Congregation B'nai Moshe in West
Bloomfield. It will feature a Sephardi-
style dinner and entertainment.
The kollel follows a beit midrash
format in which Torah scholars
immerse themselves in study in the
community. There is a charge. Call

Purim-Palooza
Oak Park Congregation Beth
Shalom's Purim-Palooza Casino
Night at 8-11:30 p.m. Saturday,
March 10, will feature blackjack,
roulette, craps, bingo and more.
There will also be a Detroit-themed
dinner, complete with coneys, slid-
ers, dessert, beer and wine.
The $36 per person charge
includes dinner and betting chips.
Additional chips will be sold with
prizes for the top chip holders.
A $5,000 grand prize raffle will be

Shir Tikvah Shines
Shul Shine, a program to welcome
new members and showcase pro-
grams and activities, will take place
at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at
Congregation Shir Tikvah in Troy.
It will highlight activities includ-
ing chavurot (friendship groups),
retreats, social action projects, inter-
faith programs and Torah study.
Appetizers and desserts will be

Kabbalah Lecture
Kolel Moshe Institute for Lifelong
Jewish Learning at Congregation
B'nai Moshe in West Bloomfield
presents Professor Howard
Lupovitch in part four of his seven-
part series, "A History of Kabbalah
— Its Uses, Misuses and Abuses" at
7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18.
Titled "Sabbatean Heresies,"this
part will tell of the strange career
of Shabbetai Zevi. Tuition for each
lecture is $12. No charge for high-
school or college students or adult
learners with Kolel Moshe Passports
to Torah. Preregistration is encour-
