Akiva Announces
Dinner Honorees
Yeshivat Akiva's 43rd annual ban-
quet will be held on Sunday, March
18, at the Dearborn Inn, 20301
Oakwood Boulevard. Honorees
are Pastor Glenn R. Plummer, Dr.
Kenneth and Marilyn Kohn and Dr.

The Israel Humanitarian Peace
Award will be presented to Pastor
Plummer. Through his organiza-
tion, the Fellowship of Israel and
Black America (FIBA), launched in
2006, Pastor Plummer has reached
out to black Christian leaders
and churches to encourage them
to forge a united front with Jews
worldwide in support of a secure
and safe Israel.
He is senior pastor of the
Ambassadors for
Christ Church and is
founder and chair-
man of the Christian
Television Network.
Dr. Kenneth and
Marilyn Kohn will
be honored with
Akiva's Community
Leadership Award
Rev. Plummer
for their 16 years of
dedicated service to the Southfield
school and its students. Ken is
founder of Kohn and Associates, an
intellectual property firm. Marilyn
has her own law firm. They are big
supporters of Akiva basketball,
which was rejuvenated by Ken 16
years ago. They have four children.
Dr. Donna Zwas is the recipi-
ent of Akiva's Alumna of the Year
Award. She graduated Akiva in
1981, went to Barnard College
and earned her medical degree
from Harvard. She is now direc-
tor of the Adult Echocardiography
Laboratory at the Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital in Philadelphia.
This summer, Dr. Zwas will make
aliyah with her husband, Jonathan,
