CAMERA cites
local activists.

L

inda Stulberg, volunteer
director of StandWithUs/
Michigan, and Ed Kohl,
coordinator of the local chapter's
media monitoring and response
team, were honored by CAMERA:
Committee for Accuracy in Middle
East Reporting in America.
They and other "prolific and
dedicated activists" from around
the U.S. were honored for working
"tirelessly to provide fair and factu-
al information about Israel and the
Middle East" and for "mobilizing
the public to defeat divest-from-
Israel resolutions!'
StandWithUs/Michigan created
a media monitoring and response
team to challenge anti-Israel bias,
factual inaccuracies and distortions
in the media. SWU/Michigan has
had letters published in Michigan,
nationally and internationally.
StandWithUs/Michigan orga-
nized campus pro-Israel programs
and worked with students at both
the University of Michigan and
Wayne State University to repel
renewed divestment initiatives.
SWU/Michigan's volunteer-driv-
en Library Project, under Margot
Gardner, has placed important
books, documentaries and other
educational resources in 11 local
libraries.
Stulberg is on the American
Israel Public Affairs Committee's
national executive committee and
active with Temple Israel's United
Against Terrorism Task Force. Kohl
is the national coordinator for
Volunteers for Israel and co-chair
of Adat Shalom Synagogue's Israel
Advocacy Committee.
