MARCIA RAE MARWIL, 62, of
West Bloomfield, died Feb. 4, 2007. She
was a legal secretary and the first
women editor of the Eastern Michigan
University newspaper.
Ms. Marwil is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Robert
Norman and Ilona Kasmierski of
California; daughter, Karen Marwil
of Ferndale; granddaughter, Carl
Olivia Kasmierski; longtime partner,
Paul Nida; sister and brother-in-law,
Deborah Kaufman Marwil and Jerrold
Biegelman of West Bloomfield; broth-
ers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Mary
Kay Marwil of Berkley, Brand and
Susan Marwil.
She was the devoted daughter of
the late Norman Kaufman, the late
Enid Kaufman Marwil and the late Dr.
Thomas B. Marwil.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to Beaumont Hospice or
to the American Cancer Society.

Detroit, died Jan. 30, 2007.

ESTER MONCZNIK, 93, of West
Bloomfield, died Jan. 30, 2007.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Josef and Rhonda
Monro of Beverly Hills, Perry and
Laurene Moncznik of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Ben Monro, Noah
Monro, Peter Monro, Adam Moncznik,
Paul Moncznik, Lisa Moncznik. She
was the beloved wife of the late Pincus
Moncznik.

STEVEN ALAN PRUSSIAN, 61,
died Jan. 22, 2007. He served in the
U.S. Air Force from 1964-1967. He
then attended Michigan State
University and subsequently joined
the Ann Arbor Police Force (1971-
1983). He left the police department
as the sergeant in charge of their com-
puter systems and began working for
several computer development com-
panies in the Ann Arbor area. He was
working for the University of Michigan
as the time of his death.
Mr. Prussian is survived by his
wife, Helen; sons, Aaron (Katherine)
Prussian of Thorne Bay, Alaska,
Nathan (Kathleen) Prussian of
Cameron, N.C.; beloved granddaugh-
ter, Anna of Thorne Bay; sister Wendy
(Alan) Hirsch and niece Jane Hirsch
of Sugar Grove, Ill.; aunts Charlotte
Prussian of Farmington Hills, Genie
Loeb of Waterford; many dear cousins
and friends. He was the son of the late
Betty and the late Charles Prussian.

SADIE RUDIN RICE, 103, of
Ferndale, died Feb. 4, 2007.
She is survived by many loving
nieces, nephews, other family mem-
bers and friends. She was the beloved
wife of the late Jack Rice; sister of
the late Isadore Rudin, the late Harry
Rudin, the late Sam Rudin and the late
Becky Cranis.
Interment at the Beth El Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.
