lison Shepherd and Brett Gers
were recently married at Temple
Israel, West Bloomfield. Rabbi
Harold Loss, Rabbi Norman Roman and
cantorial soloist Neil Michaels officiated.
Alison is the daughter of Susan and
David Shepherd of Farmington Hills. Brett
is the son of Carol and Jerald Gers of West
Bloomfield.
Alana Zaks, friend of the bride, was maid
of honor. Bridesmaids included Vanessa
Brown, Anna Cheng, Amy Gers, Siegal Eli-
Gers, Leslie Katz, Jenny Panush, Jessica
Shepherd and Melissa Shepherd. Alexa
Shepherd, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Todd and Corey Gers, brothers of the groom, were the best men. Groomsmen
included Michael Davidson, Jason Lange, Mike Mattler, Aaron Shepherd and
Matt Shepherd.
The couple were honored to have their grandparents Evelyn Shepherd, Jerry
and Sue Bearman and Cliff Mora participate in the ceremony. Brett's grand-
mother Jean Gers was there in spirit. They dedicated their ceremony in memory
of their grandparents, Adolph and Edyth (Gizi) Lebovitz, Benjamin Shepherd,
Shirley Mora and Bernard Gers.
Alison and Brett honeymooned in the Hawaiian Islands and presently reside
in Chicago.

Cohn 50th

hyllis and Joseph Cohn, formerly
of Southfield of Coral Springs, Fla.,
celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary Dec. 23 at a party given by their
children, Elliott and Dr. Mitchell Cohn. Mrs.
Cohn is retired teacher from Oak Park High.
Mr. Cohn is a retired labor relations consul-
tant with the highway department.
