COJAR provides educational, cul-
tural and social programming for
observant Jews 55 and older in part-
nership with the Young Israel Council
of Metropolitan Detroit and Yeshiva
Beth Yehudah's Partners in Torah.
Activities are held Wednesdays
at the Jewish Community Center in
Oak Park and begin in the morning
with an optional gentle yoga class for
women, followed by a kosher lunch
and learn at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon
features seminars and day trips.
COJAR's program Feb. 14 begins
at 10 a.m. with coffee and registra-
tion. Rabbi Shmuel Irons, head of the
Kollel Institute of Greater Detroit, will
speak at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m., Ruth E.
Holmes, president of Pentec Inc., will
speak on "The Trail You Leave in Ink,"
