She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Dr. Jeffrey London of West Bloomfield, Judi and Brad Lang of Huntington Woods; brothers and sister-in-law, Jay and Evelyn Gerber of Farmington Hills, Harold Gerber of Leonard, Mich.; grandchildren, Adina (Gregg) Kanner, Daniel (fiancee, Lisa Pohlman) London, Jonathan London, Sarah (Aaron Saul) Lang and Megan Lang; great-grandson, Noah Drew Kanner; sister-in-law, Gladys Kay; many other loving family members and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late David Silverman; sister-in-law of the late Louis Kay. Interment at the Hebrew Memorial Park Cemetery. HARRY WITUS, 89, of Southfield, died Jan. 22, 2007. He is survived by his stepson, Steven Simon; many loving grandchildren, nephews, other family members and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Goldman Witus; stepfa- ther of the late Wendy Simon Schaeffer and the late Robert Simon. Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Temple Beth El Endowment Fund. Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel. Zeidman EVELYN ZEIDMAN, 83, of Southfield, died Jan. 22, 2007. She was a retired ele- mentary school teacher with St. Clair Shores Public School System. A Human Rights activist, she was a strong mem- ber of the Democratic Party. Miss Zeidman was involved with the Ferndale Library Board for 10 years and with Citizens for Better Schools for more then 20 years. She was also active with Michigan Coalition to Study Health Care and was a member of Sane Freeze, Ferndale Area Peace Group and the Ferndale Area Democratic Club. Miss Zeidman was awarded the Pedersen Geary Award in 1992. She remained active with politics and became involved with the Grey Panthers and continued to work on numerous campaigns, most recently for state Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly. She is survived by her sister, Bessie Sobel of South Nyack, N.Y.; sister-in- law, Judy Zeidman; nieces and nephews, Marc and Maggie Sobel, Judy Toonkel, Eric Sobel, Murray and Gail Zeidman, Joel and Donnell Zeidman; great-nieces and nephews, Erin, Alex, Max and Aidan Zeidman. She was the beloved sister of the late Irving Zeidman; cherished sister-in-law of the late Stanford Sobel; devoted aunt of the late Wayne Toonkel; loving daugh- ter of the late Minnie and the late Joe Zeidman.
