She was the beloved wife of the late
Dr. Alfred Honigman; loving mother
of the late Robert Honigman.

She was a
graduate of Detroit
Commerce High
School. Before
Kahrnoff
her marriage, she
worked for the for-
mer National Coast
and Geodetic Survey, a unit of the U.S.
Department of Commerce, and in the
1970s held an administrative position
with the Detroit Public Schools.
She enjoyed her many and varied
family activities and, in the words
of her son David, was "an absolutely
classic full-time mom:'
Mrs. Kahrnoff attributed her lon-
gevity to never thinking ill of people.
Her 90th birthday brought a letter
from then-President Bill Clinton, and
her 100th birthday was marked by
Willard Scott on NBC's Today Show.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, David and Pat
Kahrnoff of Washington, D.C.; grand-
children, Michael and Beth Kahrnoff,
Joanne Kahrnoff, Leslie and Kevin
Rose, Daniel and Beckie Keil, Marjorie
and Jack Ellias; great-grandchildren,
Benjamin and Samuel Kahrnoff,
Abigail, Isabel and Sophia Keil, Ashley
and Brianna Ellias; sister, Shirley
Sisler.
She was the beloved wife for
43 years of the late Ben Kahrnoff;
devoted mother of the late Barbara
Keil; loving mother-in-law of the
late Robert Keil; cherished sister of
the late Samuel Silver, the late Doris
Davidson, the late Ida Gales, the late
Mollie August and the late Mary
Cohen.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
