Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit (JFS) is
seeking to fill a newly-created position of Director of
Development. JFS provides mental health and community
support services with the goal of strengthening family life,
fostering individual self-sufficiency and promoting positive
social and economic conditions. The agency has ap-
proximately 100 staff and 1200 volunteers with an annual
budget of $7,000,000. The Director of Development will
work with Board and staff to achieve strategic resource
development goals. The primary responsibility will be to
generate new and expanded contributions to JFS, includ-
ing annual "friends" campaign and endowment gifts, from
individuals, foundations and corporations.
Candidate must have knowledge of the Jewish community
