The Chapel that recognizes each family's individual needs. EVELYN L. NYMAN, 84, formerly of Michigan of Columbus, Ohio, died Dec. 13, 2006. She retired from the Columbus Jewish Foundation in 1999 after many years of service to several different agencies within the Jewish community. She was proud to have served her country during World War II and to be the first woman to enlist in the United States Marine Corps from Michigan. She was honored by Eleanor Roosevelt. Mrs. Nyman is survived by daugh- ters, Suzanne (Dave) Parr, Judith (Gary) Cooper, Debra (Michael) Hirsch; granddaughters Michelle Cooper, Julie (Brad) Wasserstrom, Molly Parr; great-granddaugh- ter, Chelsea (Baby Blue Eyes) Wasserstrom, and special friend, Harvey Levine. Mrs. Nyman was the loving wife of the late Saul Nyman; daughter of the late Gussie and the late Samuel Levine; sister of the late Sadie Cornfield, the late Esther Covensky, the late Molly Kazdan, the late Annette Horwitz and the late Louis Lavine. Services were held at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St., Columbus, Ohio. Interment at the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. She was most proud of the 7,750 dolls she made for hospitalized children through Paull Hadassah. Mrs. Paull is sur- vived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and David Schey of Huntington Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Jacqueline Paull of Troy; sister, Jean Steen;'sister-in-law, Sophie Allan; grandchildren, Rachel Schey, Samuel Schey; many nieces and neph- ews; great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the beloved wife of the late Irving Paull; loving mother of the late Daniel Paull; dear sister of the late Al, the late Nettie, the late Morris, the late Elizbeth, the late Norman; dear sister- in-law of the late David Steen. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Carole Schwartz of Southfield; grandchil- dren, Matthew Schwartz, Katherine Schwartz and Elizabeth Schwartz; many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was the husband for 64 years of the beloved Pearl, who died eight weeks ago; father of the late Marshall Schwartz; brother of the late Harold Schwartz, the late Dr. Benjamin Juliar, the late Jean Katz, the late Joseph Juliar, the late Gertrude Bean and the late Dora Smorodin. RALPH SCHWARTZ, 76, of Farmington Hills, died Dec. 17, 2006. He was an osteopathic physi- cian with offices in Fraser and Livonia.
