JOHNSON, 95, former Detroiter of
Portland, Ore., died Nov. 4, 2006. She
taught in public schools for several
decades and was active with numer-
ous organizations, including AAUW,
Circle Pines Center, Cooperatives,
Detroit Jewish Folk Chorus, Full Moon
Group, International Folk Dance,
Friends Meeting, Love Inc., Southern
Poverty Law Center and Women's
International League for Peace and
Freedom.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her
loving children, Paul Nuchims of
Port Orchard, Wash.; Mira (Nuchims)
Rodwan of Cincinnati, Ohio; David M.
and Katheryn Johnson of Portland;
loving grandchildren, Peter, Tony, Eric
and Rose Nuchims, Clea (Rodwan)
Angell, Erin Liedle and Brent Johnson;
loving great-grandchildren, Max, Lucy,
Drew and Anna; nieces and neph-
