HMC Hosts Authors
The Holocaust Memorial Center in
Farmington Hills will host a free
presentation and book-signing by
Agi Rubin and Henry Greenspan
on Sunday, Dec. 10. Rubin and
Greenspan recently co-authored
Reflectioni: Auschwitz, Memory and
A Life Recreated.
Rubin is a survivor of the
Holocaust. She was in Auschwitz-
Birkenau from April 1944 to
January 1945. Greenspan is a
psychologist and playwright at the
University of Michigan, who has
been teaching and writing about
Holocaust survivor testimony for
more than 25 years.
There is a light reception at 3:30
p.m. with the presentation at 4.

Eight-week paid summer intern-
ships at Jewish communal service
agencies are available to full-time
Jewish college students who are
residents of Metro Detroit.
Participants will work closely
with professionals in the areas of
business administration, marketing
and communications, research and
program planning, human services
and community relations.

The Benefactors of the Jewish
Home & Aging Services and their
families will host a Chanukah party
for the Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 17.
It will feature the musical duo
Gemini and lakes. Gifts will be
distributed by the Benefactors' host
families, Michael and Laurie Banks,
Marty and Robin Begun, Marc and
Michele Borovoy, and Jonathan and
Julie Dorfman.
