As a stockbroker, he was a member of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He taught calculus at University of Michigan and at Oakland University, Macomb Community College, Oakland -7 Community College; he also taught the brokers at E.F. Hutton. Mr. Shapiro was a member of the Lucky Duck Poker Club.
