Shira Klein and her husband, Steve,
bought Huron River Press two years go.
Since then, they've created a niche in
publishing cookbooks, including many
by local and regional authors. Recent
releases include two tasty books by
Craig Common of Chelsea's Common
Grill, an Italian cookbook from the folks
at Paesano's in Ann Arbor and a new tome
that reveals secrets from Eve Aronoff of Ann
Arbor's hit restaurant Eve (due in mid-November).

"Huron River Press will continue to focus on books about Michigan and the Great
Lakes region," says Shira. "Our goal is to continue producing the highest-quality
books with great care." Prices vary; most less than $50. In local bookstores or
from (734) 913-9447 or www.huronriverpress.com .
