eshiva Beth Yehudah's annual fundraising dinner may
have drawn an astounding 2,430 supporters; but accord-
ing to the Southfield-based school's longtime president,
Gary Torgow, there's still more to be done.
"Although the Yeshiva dinner was quite successful, both institu-
tionally and economically, the Yeshiva struggles tremendously to
maintain its fiscal balance," Torgow said.
"Our need-based scholarships total over $4 million annually. By
all standards and comparisons, our cost of education is well with-
in appropriate levels, and therefore our main source of concern is
our fupdraising burden which is an immense and incredible chal-
lenge!'
