Oak Park synagogue hosts
community Israel night.

A

bit of Israel will unravel in
Oak Park this weekend at a
special melavah malkah
(end-of-Shabbat repast) featuring
Israeli music, an Israeli film and
Israeli food.
The North American Kollel Torah
MiTzion, holding its conference locally,
will host the melavah malkah at 8:30
pan. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Young Israel .
of Oak Park, 15140 W. 10 Mile.
Uri and Leah Melamed, on guitar
and clarinet, will recreate the sound
of simchah through Israeli Chasidic
songs and klezmer.
The Green Chariot, an award-win-
ning Israel film, will be shown. It's

Young Israel of Southfield.
Created in Detroit in 1999, Kollel
