88, of Petoskey, died Nov. 2, 2006. She
was a sculptor of wood, stone and
marble.
• Mrs. Schulman is survived by

Daniel Snyder and Susan Davis of
Connecticut, Dr. Murray and Sharri
Snyder of Colorado; daughter and
son-in-law, Ada Kerwin and William
Brukoff of Beverly Hills; grandchil-
dren, Dr. Peter and Dr. Amy Snyder, Dr.
Andrew Snyder and partner, Robert
Waters, Aviva Snyder, Dr. Adrienne and
William Silver, Jason Snyder, Avery

She was the beloved wife of the
late Dr. Arthur Snyder and the late
William Schulman; dear sister of the
late Murray Kahn and the late Rebecca

DOROTHY KUTZEN SERWIN,

94, of Encinitas, Calif., formerly of
Pontiac, died Oct. 27, 2006. She was
a life member of ORT, Hadassah and
Brandeis Women. She graduated from
Wayne State University and taught
elementary school in Detroit for 30
years. She and her husband moved to
California after retirement.
Mrs. Serwin is survived by her
sons, Bruce Serwin of Los Angeles,
Richard Serwin of Carlsbad, Calif.;
daughter and son-in-law, Sarajane and
Jan Winkelman of Ann Arbor; grand-
children, Brad and Lisa Serwin, Ken
and Barbara Serwin, Dean and Lynn
Serwin, Andy and Michelle Serwin,
Jill and Craig Levine, David Silver; 12
great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law,
Sylvia Surowitz and Sylvia Serwin.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Serwin; loving sister of the

late Leona Kaplan and the late Gerald
Kutzen; dear great-grandmother of the
late Robbie Levine.

BELLEEN REICHSTEIN
SHIOVITZ, 90, of Sherman Oaks,

Calif., died Oct. 30, 2006.
She is survived by her beloved

and Cathy Shiovitz of Seattle, Wash.,
