Sephardic
Legacy
"The History
and Legacy of
Sephardic Jews" will
be a four-part lec-
ture series at Keter
Torah Synagogue,
West Bloomfield,
Dr. Lupovitch
starting Sunday,
Nov. 12, at 7 p.m.
Professor Howard Lupovitch will be
the lecturer. Sephardic desserts and cof-
fee will follow each lectuire. Admission
is free; a charitable donation is appreci-

Veterans- Honored
The Congregation B'nai Moshe Men's
Club will honor military veterans of the
West Bloomfield synagogue on Friday,
Nov. 10. The event is open to the com-
munity.
The program begins at 5 p.m. with a
special Shabbat service; a color guard
from the Jewish War Veterans will pres-
ent the flags and Veterans Day readings
will be recited.
At 6 p.m., there will be dinner at $21
per person; $13 per child (ages 4-11);
$11 per spOuse of a deceased veteran.
Following dinner, veterans from
the U.S., Canada and Israel will share
memories and reflect on their experi-
ences as Jews in the military. There will
also be a photo display of the veterans'
military portraits and informal personal
snapshots.

Wine With A Zap!
The David L. Bittker Unit of B'nai B'rith
will hold a wine tasting event 7-10
p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Janice
Charach Epstein Gallery in the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield.
Included will be the ZAP! POW! BAM!
superhero comic book exhibit, which
displays artists' renderings of comics
from the years of 1938-1950.
The event is co-sponsored by Whole
Foods and is open to the community.

Family Mission Event .
A kickoff event for B'nai B'rith Great
Lakes Region International Family
Mission to Israel, June 18-July 1,
2007, will take place 6:45-7:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue in Farmington Hills.
Rabbi Daniel Nevins will be on hand
to share his recent experiences in Israel;
