'Obsession' Expert Hosts
Temple Israel Screening

Itamar Marcus, founder and director of
Palestinian Media Watch, will be guest
moderator at a screening of Obsession:
Radical Islam's War Against the
West on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m.
at Temple Israel, West Bloomfield.
Marcus is one of the Mideast experts
whose analysis is interwoven through-
out Obsession
and whose film
clips are featured
in the documen-
tary's footage.

Marcus is an authority on the incite-
ment pervasive in the Palestinian
media and educational system. He has
testified before the Senate on the indoc-
trination of Palestinian children to seek
death as shahids, or holy martyrs.
StandWithUs-Michigan will also
bring Marcus to Wayne State University
at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, for a
presentation with the Detroit Council
for World Affairs at the Spencer M.
Partrich Law School Auditorium, 471
W. Palmer, Detroit.
His WSU talk is titled, "Latest Trends
in Palestinian Media Coverage of the
Conflict" He will show children's TV
programming and clerics' speeches on
Palestinian Authority television. The
program is free and open to the com-
munity.
