ylvia and Dr. Abe Pearlman celebrat-
ed their 90th birthdays at a family
dinner on Oct. 20. They enjoyed the
celebration with their children, Marilynn
and Roger Boesky of La Jolla, Calif., Linda
Friedlaender, Judy Pearlman Carol and Dr.
Andrew Sofen of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Donna and Gaetano Mastropasqua
of Encino Hills, Calif., Sari and Keith
Boesky of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Beth
Friedlaender, Jill and Wendy Eisenshadt of
Los Angles, David Friedlaender of Picayune,
Miss.; Bryan and Lauren Sofen of West
Bloomfield; great-grandchildren, Jason,
Jeremy, Kevin, Kiara and Lorenzo. Also present were Dr. Phillip Sherman and his
wife, Helen. Phil and Abe have been friends for 85 years and Phil was best man
at their wedding 66 years ago.

by her son Rodney and grandchildren Scott,

on Sept. 20. The happy occasion was
celebrated with over 30 of his family
and friends at a dinner on Sept. 17 at the
lake home of his son and daughter in-law,
Howard and Laurie Novetsky. Also attending
and helping with the festivities were his wife
of 65 years, Doris Novetsky; son and daugh-
ter in-law, Michael and Marilyn Novetsky;
grandchildren, Jason and Kathy Novetsky,
Eric and Melissa Novetsky, Ryan Novetsky,
Sarah and Todd Wolfe; and great-grand-
children, Micole Wolfe, Drew and Griffin
Novetsky; Irving's sister Ruth Farber; his
machetayneste (in-law) Esther Karber. All of
the extended family and friends joined in wishing him a happy birthday.
