Lynnae Lehfeldt's Esther is a care-
fully dissected, complicated melding
of wanting more for her husband

disappointment and reward of living
vicariously through another.
Loren Bass' arrival as Walter at the
end of the first act makes a power-
ful impression, the complexities of
which Bass handles with great range,
tapping into a character's anger that
can only emerge after years of being
directed inward. As Gregory Solomon,
Sol Frieder can only be described as
a marvel. Delivering his musings on
the value of the furnishings and lives
around him is to see, in appraiser
and actor alike, a master at work.
JET displays what wonderfully

produced theater can do, the way it
elevates experience, allows us to see
ourselves in a way everyday life can-

the local paper asked him why
he agreed to travel there from
Los Angeles. Rickles replied, "For
money, you do a lot of things."
Rickles also told the paper that
he is working on a book of mem-
oirs and that director Jon Landis
(The Blues Brothers) is currently
making a documentary on him. _
