T-shirt, sweatshirt and

ball cap.
. But how many of you Jewish die-
hards have an Olde English daled
cap? Or a T-shirt with the same bold
daled leading off the word "Detroit"
spelled in Hebrew letters.
Ronnie Schreiber of Oak Park
can hook you up. Through his corn-
puterized embroidery company,
Autothreads, he now is selling the
caps and T-shirts with the daled, the
Hebrew letter equivalent to "V'
Schreiber, 51, who was in the
first kindergarten class at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
and spent a few summers in Israel,
designed the stylized daled in a way
that would not impinge on the Tigers'
licensed trademarks.
"I wanted to see how authentic an
Olde English daled I could get:' said
the lifelong Tigers fan, who has been
watching the World Series at home
from his own salvaged box seat from
Tigers Stadium. .
The idea for the daled came when
he received notice of an upcoming
Hillel baseball outing in the mail
and started experimenting with
the Hebrew letter. He started selling
his apparel this week at Spitzer's
Hebrew Book & Gift Center and
Tradition! Tradition! in Southfield
and Borenstein's Books & Music
in Oak Park. Some of his items
will be at Esther's Judaica in West
Bloomfield as well.
Schreiber creates all kinds of logos
and customized embroidery, includ-
ing such Judaica items as tallit bags,
challah covers, kippot, handwashing
towels, wall hangings and chuppahs.
His daled T-shirts are $20; hats are
