Sukkah Of A Different Color
Shelby Levin, 16, Jay Levin, Eric Steingold, 17, and Andrea Levin exhibit
the gallery of art painted in the sukkah at the Levins' Farmington Hills
home. The artwork was created by Andrea, Jay's sister Sharil Roby, her
husband, Jeff, and their daughters Aimee, 20, and Samantha, 17, of West
Bloomfield. They sketched pictures from Jewish new year cards and filled
them in with weather-resistant paint. Through the years, each expansion
of their now-huge sukkah has brought new colorful painted holiday-relat-
ed artwork. The sukkah — larger than their kitchen — easily accom-
modates the 60 guests invited for the holiday tradition of bringing their
family together to eat in the sukkah.
