ention Orchard Lake Road
and you're sure to get an
ear full, as this (in)famous
thoroughfare has both legions of fans
and detractors.

For those in the peanut gallery, their
biggest gripe is the street's egress,
a seemingly steady flow of cars
that makes for some daring driving
maneuvers, and its chock-a-block
development that can overwhelm
even the most regular shoppers.

Those in the cheering section,
though, while conceding it does get
congested at peak times during the
day, and that it could benefit from
enhanced landscaping and perhaps
less frenetic signage and facades,
will overlook a few extra minutes at
a stop light when just beyond lies
a world of goods and services, and
bounty of restaurants, that other
parts of town can only envy.
