Still can't decide? There's more
browsing to be had at Eleganza (6393
Orchard Lake, 248-737-2666), Sally's
Design Boutique (6331 Orchard Lake,
248-626-0886) and Annie Sez (6303
Orchard Lake, 248-855-0473).
For men, there's Baron's Wholesale
Clothiers (27888 Orchard Lake, 248-
539-0525). In New York City, it's sam-
ple sales on Seventh Avenue. In metro
Detroit, it's buying suits, sports jackets,
overcoats, and trousers at Baron's
near-wholesale prices at what for years
has been a well-guarded secret among
the area's well turned-out men.
You can even exchange vows on
Orchard Lake Road, home to the
Little Wedding Chapel (27857
Orchard Lake, 248-489-1144). And
if you're in need of a dress, consider
those frothy creations at La Sposa
Bridal Studio (6335 Orchard Lake,
248-538-7020), while a left-hand,
fourth-finger sparkler can be found at
Stone's Fine Jewelry (6881 Orchard
Lake, 248-851-5030) or Lolly Ella
(6706 Orchard Lake, 248-851-3325).

While mostly the domain of retail
and office development, Orchard Lake
Road is also home to the imposing
and poignant Holocaust Memorial
Center (28123 Orchard Lake, 248-
553-2400), the first museum of its
kind in the United States dedicated to
the memory of the Holocaust.
In addition to exhibits chronicling
4,000 years of Jewish history and
the story of European Jewry dur-
ing World War II, the HMC campus
includes the Museum of European
Jewish Heritage examining Jewish
life in Europe prior to the Holocaust,
and the International Institute of the
Righteous spotlighting the individu-
als and institutions who committed
acts of bravery during this dangerous
time while risking their own safety.
Special programs at the
HMC include an annual Day of
Remembrance, lecture series and
seminars, plus special appearances by
notable journalists and scholars.
Just north of Pontiac Trail,
the Greater West Bloomfield
Historical Society (248-682-2279,
or www.gwbhs.com ) preserves the
history of Keego Harbor, Orchard
Lake, Sylvan Lake and West
Bloomfield through permanent and
rotating exhibits, as well as historic
home and cemetery tours.
The city of Farmington Hills (248-
871-2400, or www.ci.farmington-hills.
mi.us/Services/SpecialServices/

CulturalArts/OverviewCulturalArts.
asp), along with the Farmington Area
Founders Festival, hosts the annual
Art on the Grand juried fine arts
festival each July.
As well, the city celebrates its
diversity during the Multicultural/
Multiracial Heritage Festival,
featuring conferences, art exhibits,
entertainment and ethnic foods.
You can add to your personal art
collection from the tine pieces on
display at Europa Art Gallery
(6335 Orchard Lake, 248-855-2160)
and Danielle Peleg Gallery (4301
Orchard Lake, 248-626-5810).

West Bloomfield Parks and
Recreation (248-451-1900, or www.
westbloomfieldparks.org ) manages
nearly a dozen parks, aquatic centers,
sports facilities and nature trails,
and fills its calendar each year with a
wide range of special programs, from
the Parent-Child Golf Scramble and
Halloween Spooktacular, to Camp In
- Camp Out and Dog Days of Summer
swimming sessions for dogs.
And in Farmington Hills (www.
ci.farmington-hills.mi.us/Services/
SpecialServices/CulturalArts/
OverviewCulturalArts.asp), the city's
Heritage Park is the setting for the
summer-long outdoor concert series
Stars in the Park.
On the shores of Orchard Lake, the
campus of Orchard Lake Schools
(wwworchardlakeschools.com ) plays
host to the Orchard Lake Fine Art
Show, Jazz on Orchard Lake, and St.
Mary's Polish Country Fair.
Finally, have a "bully" time while
perfecting the ultimate bank shot or
clean break at Roosevelt's Billiards
Bar and Grill (27843 Orchard Lake,
248-488-1990).

Community events of all stripes
can be found year-round in both
Farmington Hills and West Bloomfield.
