Downtown Northville has not one,
but two independently owned bicycle
stores: D & D Bikes (121 N. Center,
248-347-1511), and Town & Country
Bike & Boards (148 N. Center, 248-
349-7140).
One of the metro area's — if not its
only — Japanese entertainment stores,
Mirai (42705-B Grand River, 248-374-
3200), has everything for the Anime
enthusiast, as well as large selections
of books, comics and movies.
Lastly, save time to stop in an out-
post of Michigan's own American
Spoon Foods (105 N. Center, 248-
347-1643) for fresh jams, or decadent
sauces to pour over your Guernsey

you insist, regular, but hardly plain
Jane, vanilla.

Gallery (101 N. Center, 248-449-

Awakening's art classes.
If dinner and a movie is more your
thing, you might consider dinner and
a "show" at Genitti's Little Theatre
(108 E. Main St., 248-349-0522).
And when the kids tire of the X-box,
they're sure to be charmed by one of
the productions staged at the Marquis
Theatres (135 E. Main St., 248-349-
8110), or they may discover a hidden
talent during one of its theatrical
camps and workshops held through-
out the summer.

The art scene in the area is primarily
centered in downtown Northville. And
it's here you'll find a trio of spaces:
Awakening...The Artist Inside (111
N. Center, 238-347-0807), Sherrus
Gallery of Fine Art (109 N. Center,

The words "bland" or "boring" are
not part of the vernacular in Novi or
Northville. From people-watching while
shopping to the free concerts in the
heart of Northville, there's no shortage
of options once the stores close.
