W
e are all creatures of habit. We find something we like and we stick with
it. The publication you are holding is designed to break some of those
shopping, dining and entertainment habits or, rather, to help you form
some delightful new ones.
In your hands is an easy-to-read guide to several main streets in the Metro Detroit
area. Many of the listings will be about old, familiar haunts. Others may be new, or
gems you've never heard of, possibly right in your own backyard.
Ed Nakfoor, a freelance writer and retail consultant in
Birmingham, has taken the time to update the listings from last
year's MainStreets, to visit new places and provide the latest
on the area's finest stores and restaurants. In addition, he
concludes each breezy review with Web sites where you can
find even more events and activities for your enjoyment.
The beautiful photographs in tvlainStreets of areas familiar
and not-so-familiar were taken by Jewish Renaissance Media
staff photographers Angie Baan and Armando Rios. And the
gorgeous layouts were conceived and designed by Lindsay Schwartz of the Jewish
Renaissance Media Creative Services department.
So, with all that going for us, we urge you again to break out of your routine and
join us for a walk down MainStreets.
