Forum Focus: Population
The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit will present
the highlights of its recent Jewish
Population Study with commen-
tary by researcher Ira Sheskin. The
Community Forum will be held 7 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 23, at the Max M. Fisher
Federation Building, 6735 Telegraph
in Bloomfield Township.
As the architect of the survey and a
leading expert on Jewish demography,
Sheshkin brings comparative data
to bear on his findings. A Ph.D. and
associate professor at the University of
Miami, Sheskin has conducted Jewish
population studies in 36 communities
across the nation.

Epstein Gallery Event
On Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Janice
Charach Epstein Gallery in the West
Bloomfield Jewish Community Center,
there will be a wine tasting and stroll-
ing hors d'oeuvres event.
The event is co-sponsored by Whole
Foods. Kosher mevushal wines will be
used. The evening will begin at 7 p.m.
and run until 10 p.m.
Proceeds will go to a disaster relief
fund affiliated with B'nai B'rith.

Holocaust Center Dinner
The Holocaust Memorial Center will
honor Dr. Steven D. Grant as it cel-
ebrates its 22nd anniversary at a din-
ner Sunday, Oct. 22, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue, Farmington Hills.
