ties of City Assessor. Manage staff of 10.5; $800K
operating budget. Appointed by the Mayor. Re-
quirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent mu-
nicipal finance, accounting, business administra-
tion, real estate assessment, taxation, or related
field; Level IV Certification by the State Assessor's
Board; Certification as a Personal Property Examiner;
10 years experience in the assessment field, with at
least 6 years increasingly responsible management/
supervisory experience in a comparable municipal
environment, involving advanced proficiency in
complex commercial and industrial assessments;
thorough knowledge of all areas of appraisal and
assessments, Michigan Tax Tribunal, and state-of-
the-art Assessing technology; valid Michigan driver's
license, a good driving record, and the ability to
pass an in-depth background check. The compen-
sation range is $72,681 to $98,332 with a competi-
tive benefits package. Starting salary is dependent
upon qualifications. A City of Southfield Employ-
