PERFORMANCE WHEN YOU WANT IT.
A VOLVO WHEN YOU NEED IT.
You think about what people really want in a sports
sedan. You think about available turbocharged
performance. A sport-tuned suspension. A head-
turning design. You also think about all the other
cars on the road and how quickly a drive can take
an unexpected turn. You think about that and then
you build a sports sedan that's made for corners,
but also the off chance life throws you a curve.
The Volvo S60. See what you think.

Election '06
ON IF- E COVER
Battle from page 19
are suggesting. I'm not changing my
stance on that. Fighting the war on ter-
ror abroad has made us more secure
in this country"
Skinner: "The administration's
failed policies and mismanagement
of the war have not prevented all of
the current sectarian violence in Iraq
and have caused failures in the war on
terror in general. My opponent falls in
line with the administration 98 per-
cent of the time and is completely out
of touch with the people on this issue."
Economy
Knollenberg: "I voted for a $1,000,
per-child tax credit for working
families, tax credits for businesses to
reduce health care costs, to eliminate
the marriage penalty, to create educa-
tion savings accounts, to repeal the tax
increase on Social Security benefits, to
lower the capital gains tax to stimulate
new jobs and to increase funding for
schools. I introduced an anti-coun-
terfeit goods bill. In general, I favor
tax cuts to reduce the tax burden on
the average Oakland County family by
$1,900 a year:'
Skinner: "Reckless spending by
the administration is affecting our
economy. Michigan's auto industry
can lead the way in reviving the
economy, and I urge President Bush
to meet with the Big Three leaders
now, not wait until after the election. If
elected. I will introduce the Next Great
American Journey program that will
rescind the $6 billion in oil industry
subsidies and use the money for the
auto industry as incentives for innova-
tions. The oil companies are cutting
gas prices now to help the 'Republicans
at election time."
